In use

Nothing leaves this phone. No account, no sign-in.

  • Your cards live in this browser, on this device only.
  • They survive restarts, but not deleting the app or clearing its data.
  • We hold nothing. There is nothing on our side to lose or hand over.

Your Google Drive

Saved to a folder in your own Google Drive, and synced across your devices.

  • A visible CardSnap folder in your Drive, which you can open, read or delete yourself.
  • We ask for one permission: files this app creates. Google will not let it see anything else in your Drive.
  • Your sign-in stays in this tab and never reaches our server. We keep no copy of your cards.

A backup file you keep

One file you export and keep wherever you like.

  • Export whenever you want, to iCloud, Dropbox, a laptop or a memory stick.
  • Restoring merges rather than overwrites, so importing the same file twice is harmless.
  • No account, and nothing automatic — backing up is yours to remember.

Card photos stay on this device. They are not part of sync or of a backup file, so the same card on another device shows its details without the picture.

Privacy

QR codes are read on this device and never sent anywhere.

A card photo is sent to be read only when you press the shutter, and the reading service keeps nothing. A copy stays on this device with the card, and is deleted with it.
